Al-Haramain train will operate from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah starting October, Minister of Transport Nabil Al Amoudi told Al Arabiya channel.
Saudi Railway Co. (SAR), in cooperation with Makkah Authority, started this year to operate the holy sites trains, transporting 360,000 Hajj pilgrims, he said.
The transport ministry is working with several government agencies, including the customs and passport authorities, to facilitate visitors’ entrance to the Kingdom’s airports, and develop terminals and airports, he said.
The Kingdom’s airports in general have a ‘good’ infrastructure, he added.
