6 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Sunday.

 

1) The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) approved a request from the Ministry of Finance to list debt instruments worth SAR 2.26 billion starting today, Aug. 25.

 

2) Hail Cement Co. announced that it has completed the periodic maintenance at its production line and resumed operations from Aug. 22.

 

3) The Commercial Court in Riyadh has ordered the former managing director and CEO of The Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Co. (MedGulf) to pay to the company an amount of SAR 152.7 million in the law suit raised against him by MedGulf.

 

4) National Building & Marketing Co.'s shareholders approved the board's recommendation on withholding dividend for FY ending Dec. 31, 2018.

 

5) Shareholders of Abdulla Saad Abo Moati for Bookstore Co. have approved the board’s recommendation to raise the company’s capital to SAR 200 million from SAR 160 million through the issuance of bonus shares (one bonus share for every four shares held).

 

6) Brent crude on Friday fell 58 cents to reach $59.34 per barrel whereas WTI Crude also decreased $1.18 to reach $54.17/bbl.
