US drillers cut 12 oil rigs in week ending Aug. 30: Baker Hughes

U.S. energy companies cut 12 oil rigs in the week ending Aug. 30, bringing the total count to 742, General Electric Co.’s Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.

 

The gas rig count remained at 162 rigs for the week, compared to 184 gas rigs a year earlier.
