Saudi Arabia has named Yasir Al Rumayyan as chairman of state oil giant Aramco.
"The appointment is an important step to prepare the company for the public listing," Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih said on his Twitter account as he congratulated Al Rumayyan on the new post.
Al Rumayyan, already a member on Aramco's board and also the Public Investment Fund's (PIF) governor, has replaced Al-Falih who had been chairing Aramco since 2015.
