The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said it will issue its Article IV report on Saudi Arabia on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019.
IMF’s mission chief for Saudi Arabia, Tim Callen, will address in a press conference the fund’s assessment of key Saudi economic developments.
According to data compiled by Argaam, IMF’s executive board has praised the Saudi government for the progress it sustained in implementing its economic and social reform agenda, affirming a positive outlook for the Kingdom’s economy.
Under Article IV, the IMF appraises the economic and financial policies of its members. IMF economists visit the member country to collect and analyze data on industrial and social issues – among others - that may have an impact on the country’s overall economic policies and performance.
