Saudi Arabia’s General Authority Civil Aviation (GACA) has finalized the master plan, development phases and preliminary designs for King Khalid International Airport’s integrated logistics zone, its spokesperson Ibrahim Al-Rwosa told Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.

The aviation market regulator, which also set the related executive regulations, submitted various cooperation agreements to competent government authorities for final approval.

“GACA is also finalizing a request for proposals to define development options for the new zone along with the optimum finance channels,” Al-Rwosa said.

In October 2018, King Salman issued a royal decree approving the regulations of a logistics zone in Riyadh, Argaam reported.
