Saudi Arabia's Cabinet has approved the strategy of the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO), the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The approval came following the recommendations made by Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, Minister of Environment Water & Agriculture and Chairman of SAGO, and the Council of Economic and Development Affairs.
SAGO’s strategy covers grains and food security requirements, in line with Vision 2030 and related strategic programs, Al-Fadli said.
Elsewhere, Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Faris, Governor of SAGO, said “the strategy aims to achieve several key goals, mainly the development of an efficient and flexible organization structure.”
It also seeks to develop specialized labor force, adopt state-of-the-art technical solutions and enhance the sector’s ability to overcome crises through transparency, data reliability and efficient governance, he added.
