Works on King Salman maritime complex to be completed in Oct. 2022

Work at King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services is on schedule, and its last project is expected to be finished in October 2022.

 

The complex comprises three projects: an international marine industries company, offshore platforms and engines, Al-Eqtisadiah reported.

 

The international marine industries firm is set to partially be finished in December 2020, before its completely finished in October 2022.

 

The offshore platforms will be operational in august 2022, while the engines project will start in June 2021 before its fully operational in August 2022, Aramco said.

 

King Salman complex has local and international investments that meet the need of building offshore oil and gas rigs, offshore platforms and offshore support ships, giant crude oil tankers, and others, it added.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has laid the cornerstone of King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services in Ras Al-Khair in November 2016.

 

The SAR 20 maritime complex is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco, the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), UAE-based Lamprell plc, and South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.
