Saudi Arabia aims to make the much-anticipated initial public offering (IPO) of Aramco a real success, energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said during a panel discussion at the Russia Energy Week.
Commenting on the terrorist attack at the Saudi Aramco facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais, the energy minister said: “I feel relieved and proud as I believe that I can stand here and ask any of my colleagues whether there is any nation or a country that could face such challenge where the world lose 5 percent of oil production, and most importantly the attempt of making you lose your reputation as a reliable energy producer.”
He also noted that within 72 hours, the Kingdom managed to resume its production and maintained its reputation of being a reliable energy producer and supplier.
“Saudi Arabia has turned the page and currently working on facing new challenges including the Aramco IPO, and working hard on renewable energy and efficiency,” Prince Abdulaziz concluded.
