Future Investment Initiative 2019 kicks off in Riyadh today

The Future Investment Initiative (FII) 2019 has started in Riyadh today and will run till Oct. 31.

 

The third edition of FII brings together almost 300 high-profile speakers from more than 30 countries, along with other senior policy makers, experts and investors.

 

As many as 39 percent of speakers are coming from North America, 20 percent from Europe, 19 percent from Asia and 15 percent from the Middle East. Meanwhile, 6,000 delegates will participate in the event.

 

Under the theme of “What is Next for Global Business”, the FII will focus on three key pillars:

 

- Sustainable future - Exploring new innovations and investment models that can support profit, people and planet

 

- Technology for good - Business and policy frameworks that can guide the future growth of the tech industry

 

- Advanced society - Cultural and organizational systems that can inspire humanity in the age of machines

 

Alongside the main program, FII will also host summits that address how changes in business, entertainment, and society are driving innovation and creating investment opportunities.

 

The three summits will cover:

 

- Immersive work, which explores how changes in technologydemography and business models are altering the nature of work.

 

- Interactive entertainment, which explores how innovation, globalization and consumer behavior affect sports, entertainment and recreation.

 

- Interconnected societies, which explores how governments around the world are attempting to integrate intelligent systems, advanced mobility, new educational models and greater cultural awareness into their cities and communities
