A consortium between Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co.’s affiliate International Water Distribution Company (Tawzea) and Spain’s Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios has been selected as the preferred bidder for Taif independent sewerage treatment plant (ISTP), the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Wednesday.
Tawzea, which has a share capital of SAR 146 million, is equally owned by Amiantit and Saudi Industrial Services Company.
Upon final award, the consortium will finance, develop, and design the plant, which will have a capacity of up to 100,000 cubic meters per day, on a BOT basis, along with the development of infrastructure and related facilities.
The term of the contract is 25 years, the statement noted.
Amiantit will announce any updates regarding the project and financial impact on its financials once the contract is awarded, the statement said.
