Survey shows 71% of Saudi jobseekers positive about current job market

As much as 71 percent of Saudi Arabia-based candidates in a survey looking for a new job or a change are positive about the current job market situation, according to the latest Q3 2019 job market survey in the Kingdom by headhunting firm Michael Page.

 

While salary is still the key reason for candidates looking for a new job, other top reasons include their current job not offering them opportunities for further development, and the aspiration for their responsibilities to broaden.

 

The survey found the top two channels job seekers trust to find their next career opportunity includes professional networking platforms and recruitment firms, with 77 percent think that less than 3 months is required to find a new job.

 

The survey further added that while career prospects are bright in the semi-government sector, recruitment activity is picking up in not only the public sector with investments in projects aligned with Vision 2030, but also in the private sector.

 

The survey data is collected on voluntary basis from candidates (both Saudi Nationals and expats) who applied for a job offer or submitted their CV on Michael Page.
