Saudi bank loans rise 3% in September 2019

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors grew by 3 percent by the end of September 2019 to around SAR 1.55 trillion compared to SAR 1.50 trillion a year earlier, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

 

Private sector lending also rose 3 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.49 trillion for the same month.

Meanwhile, the value of loans given to the public sector edged up 1 percent YoY to SAR 55.9 billion in September.
