Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Co. is planning to expand its presence and build new warehouses in various locations to meet client demand, Khalid Saheim, General Manager of Transport and Logistics, told Argaam in an exclusive.

“The company owns some warehouses in Jubail, but they do not meet customer demand. Therefore, Aldrees is looking to expand its warehousing space through setting up cold storage facilities,” Saheim said on the sidelines of annual GPCA Forum in Dubai.

Additionally, the company has various projects for container handling and storage from Jeddah to Jubail.

It also owns a fleet of 1,300 trucks and 2,300 trailers of different types except for cooling and gas trailers. The company will consider investment in these trailers later on, if opportunities are favorable.

“Aldrees is planning to replace its old fleet, while keeping its number unchanged. The company’s fleet transports 180,000 tons of materials every week,” Saheim concluded.

Argaam publishes on a weekly basis Argaam Petrochemical Index, which measures the average change in prices of a basket of petrochemical products produced in the GCC.
