Saudi Arabia announced 2020 projects

Saudi Arabia announced on Monday its state budget for 2020 including details of the prospective projects covering a number of business sectors.

 

In the telecommunications sector, Saudi Arabia seeks to develop additional digital services.

 

In housing, the Kingdom seeks to increase Saudi’s home ownership to 60%.

 

Additionally, the Kingdom targets to develop the road network, laying out a total of 2,000 km of new roads, as well as finalizing local airports’ expansion projects.

 

In education, Saudi Arabia Government Scholarship Program will continue in 2020, and the government is undertaking the restoration of several educational buildings.

 

Saudi Arabia will offer 5,500 investment opportunities through Forus portal in 2020.

 

It will also build new hospitals and medical centers across the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia currently has a backlog of 35 hospitals at a capacity of 10,750 beds.
