Minister of Commerce and Investment, Majid Al Qasabi, said that there are 14 million online shoppers in Saudi Arabia, highlighting that the Kingdom became among the top 10 global e-commerce markets.
Al Qasabi added on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Traders Council in Riyadh that there are around 38,000 online stores in Saudi Arabia, according to Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.
The global e-commerce market is worth nearly $30 trillion, the minister indicated.
The Kingdom advanced 3 places to the 49th rank in the e-commerce index issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)this year, when compared to 2018, according to data compiled by Argaam.

In addition, a recent report by ResearchAndMarkets.com showed that Saudi Arabia’s e-commerce market is anticipated to surpass $25 billion by the end of 2026.
