SEC signs 2 consulting services deals with Egyptian Transmission

Saudi Electricity Co.’s (SEC) subsidiary, Saudi Electricity Company for Projects Development, signed 2 contracts to provide consulting services, work out the technical specifications and scope of work, and prepare the tender documents for the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) in 3 stations in Egypt and Sudan.

 

The company will install the dynamic compensation system in Al-Awainat station in Egypt, and the Dongola and Merowe stations in Sudan.

 

The contracts were signed during a visit by the EETC delegation to a number of dynamic compensating stations for inactive power, affiliated with SEC in Jeddah and Medina to learn about maintenance and control operations for dynamic compensators.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, Saudi Electricity Company for Projects Development is a fully-owned subsidiary of SEC, and was launched in July 2015. It covers areas of design and supervise SEC projects, and acts as the engineering and construction arm of the company.
