Methanol Chemicals Co. (Chemanol) announced on Sunday a plan to shut down its methanol and dimethylformamide plants for 23 days as of Jan. 12, 2020 for periodical maintenance.

The maintenance aims to enhance operational efficiency and reliability, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Sunday.

The company will announce the date of resuming commercial operations after maintenance completion, the statement added.

It also noted that this step will not affect the workflow of other factories, expecting an impact on the company’s financial results for Q1 2020.
