Global hospitality major Hilton is planning to more than 50 hotels, comprising 16,000 rooms, in the next five years, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Saudi Arabia is an incredibly exciting and dynamic market,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president development Middle East and Africa, Hilton.
In addition to signing nine new hotels in the Kingdom last year, Hilton also opened two new hotels: DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Jabal Omar and Hilton Garden Inn Al Jubail.
Currently, it operates five brands in the Kingdom- Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn. The group also introduced new brands, which includes lifestyle brand, Canopy by Hilton, and Suites by Hilton brand.
Currently, the company employs nearly 2,500 people across its 14 properties and hire another 7,500 people as it opens new properties, the statement noted.
