Accounting and auditing are among the most in-demand professions in Saudi Arabia’s private sector, Minister of Labor and Social Development Ahmad Al Rajhi said, adding that the average wages of Saudi employees in these professions is around SAR 7,000.

Al Rajhi also noted at the Saudi Accountants Forum (SAF) in Riyadh that the ministry is working on an initiative in collaboration with the Saudi Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) that aims to empower accountants through increasing the number of certified practitioners and fellowship programs.

The minister expressed his optimism towards enhancing feminization in the accounting sector, due to the job nature that does not require field work.
