Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, which owns and runs hospitals and specialized medical centers, reported a net profit of SAR 870.2 million (SAR 2.49 per share) for the fiscal year 2019, a 9% year-on-year (YoY) increase.

The increase in net profit is attributed to improved gross profit margins to reach 30.6% by the end of 2019 versus 29.7% in 2018 backed by sales growth at a higher pace compared to the increase of cost of sales.
Meanwhile, Zakat expenses fell 19% to SAR 65.7 million in 2019 from SAR 81.3 million a year earlier.
