Chairman and chief executive of US-based CTS Corporation, Kieran O’Sullivan, denied blackmailing Saudi Telecom Co.’s (STC) over the logo copycat dispute, according to Arab News.
“We’re open to reach a constructive business solution together, and that’s not blackmail,” O’Sullivan said.
He added that his company made concerted efforts to handle the issue privately, nevertheless. STC did not engage in a "serious manner’'.
“Therefore, CTS has taken the necessary steps to protect its property,” he noted.
STC has recently denied CTS’ logo copycat claims, denouncing what it so-called blackmail attempts. It also confirmed that its trademark is officially registered in several countries, according to data compiled by Argaam.
