Al-Benyan says Coronavirus might affect some materials’ supply chain

The CEO of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Chair B20 Saudi Arabia, Yousef Al-Benyan, said that the outbreak of the Coronavirus may affect the supply chain of some materials.

 

Speaking at the consultancy meeting of the B20, organized by Saudi Chambers on Sunday, he added that the B20 has developed a crisis management plan over the virus concerns.

 

“We will ensure to organize G20-related webinars to facilitate the meeting of all global members; we managed to run a test session where we hosted 22,000 attendees,” he stressed.

 

Al-Benyan also highlighted the importance of developing the local content, as well as seeking the support of the legislators.

 

He also called for encouraging investors to invest in the local content on the short term, despite challenges.
