Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy directed Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) to maintain its maximum sustainable capacity at 12.3 million barrels per day over the coming months.
Saudi Aramco said earlier it would provide its customers with 12.3 million barrels a day starting April, up by 300,000 barrels per day compared to its current maximum sustained capacity. However, Saudi Aramco recently received a directive from the Ministry of Energy to boost its maximum sustained capacity from 12 to 13 million barrels per day, Argaam reported.
