Al Sorayai shareholders to start e-voting on EGM agenda on April 23

Al Sorayai Trading and Industrial Group invited its shareholders to vote on the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) agenda items through e-voting from April 23-26, 2020, the company said in a bourse statement.

 

The EGM will be held on April 26 at Al Sorayai headquarters.

 

Shareholders will vote on amending the articles of association with regard to the group’s name and objectives.

 

They will also vote on the board of directors’ recommendation on appointing Mansour Al-Kharboush as independent board member from Feb. 26, 2020 until the end of the current board term on July 15, 2021.

 

Al-Kharboush will be appointed in place of Monthir Al-Sorayai (non-executive member), the statement concluded.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, the Capital Market Authority (CMA) issued, on March 16, a circular enabling shareholders to participate and vote on general meeting agenda items through Tadawulaty system in line with the government’s efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
