Expat remittances from Saudi Arabia rise 12% in February

Remittances from expatriates in Saudi Arabia rose by 12% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 10.84 billion in February 2020 when compared to the same period last year, according to recent data released by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).

 

On a monthly basis, expat remittances inched up 0.5%, or SAR 50 million, by the end of February.

On the other hand, remittances sent by Saudi nationals to other countries grew 2% YoY to SAR 4.3 billion in February.
