The Saudi Health Council (SHC) approved on April 26 the Kingdom’s National Framework Program for Health Disaster Management in the meeting chaired by Minister of Health, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.
SHC approved the findings of a committee that studied the proposal for ambulatory care safety requirements in public places and utilities. It also underlined the need for a draft system for ambulatory safety, which will be binding on all regulatory, licensing or supervisory bodies that have gatherings.
A national committee will be set up to develop primary healthcare services and prepare the action plan for the national strategic orientation project for primary healthcare.
The national diabetes control strategy was also endorsed, and the National Diabetes Center will coordinate with the competent sectors to implement its goals.
