Halwani Bros.’ operations were not impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, and suppliers have committed to maintain a steady flow of raw materials, Al Arabiya reported citing chief executive officer Thamer Temairik.
Nevertheless, he pointed out that the pandemic affected the business flow, as the company strives to ensure an abundance of products at all points of sale across all regions.
Temairik added that Halwani focused on ensuring the sustainability of manufacturing and sales, noting that individual retailers account for the majority of sales.
The retail segment has witnessed growth over the last period, unlike the catering segment which has been disrupted.
Halwani reported net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 30.4 million in Q1 2020, a more than five-fold increase year-on-year (YoY), Argaam reported earlier.
