Forbes unveiled the 2020 Global 2000 list, which includes the world’s largest public companies based on asset value, market value, net profit and revenues.
The list included 40 Arab companies, led by Saudi Aramco which also ranked 5th worldwide.
Aramco was the world’s largest company with a market valueof $1.68 trillion. Microsoft and Apple followed with $1.36 trillion and $1.29 trillion in market value, respectively.
Saudi players accounted for 14 out of the 40 Arab companies in the list. Major petrochemical producer, SABIC took the third place among Arab companies and the 212th rank worldwide. STC, which came fifth among Arab companies, was the 335th worldwide.
