The Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, said the public sector employees will gradually return to workplaces in all government agencies and offices as of Sunday, May 31.

They will return to full attendance at workplaces starting June 14, the minister added.

Starting from May 31, at least 50% of employees, including all managers and top executives, will return to workplaces, while the remaining 50% will continue remote working.

As of Sunday, June 7, 75% of employees will return to workplaces.

Moreover, employees will resume work under flexible attendance in three groups. The first group will start work at 7.30 am, the second at 8.30 am and the third at 9.30 am.

Meanwhile, the fingerprint biometric attendance systems will remain suspended until Thursday, June 18.

“After two months and a half month of closures, it is time to return to business and open activities,” Al Rajhi noted.

The public sector has successfully continued to work remotely. All employees proved efficiency during remote working.

The competent government authorities will continue to ensure that workplaces fully comply with the preventive measures adopted by the Ministry of Health, Al Rajhi concluded.
