The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) will resume domestic flights from Sunday, May 31 through national airlines, the aviation market regulator said in a statement.
GACA completed its operational preparations to gradually lift suspension on domestic flights, while taking all necessary precautions and health measures.
The resumption of domestic flights will be phased, to cover all domestic destinations within two weeks.
The initial phase will include 11 airports, namely Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim, Abha International Airport, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Airport, Hail International Airport, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz Airport and Najran Regional Airport.
