Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Co. will adopt electronic voting as of June 4 on the agenda items of its ordinary general assembly meeting (OGM) that will be held on June 8, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
The step follows the Capital Market Authority’s (CMA) directives enabling shareholders to participate and vote on related meeting agenda through Tadawulaty system in line with the government’s efforts to prevent spread of coronavirus.
Last month, the company invited its shareholders to vote on a board recommendation to withhold cash dividend for the fiscal year 2019, during the OGM to be held on June 8, 2020, according to data compiled by Argaam.
