Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair & Co. announced today that its stores in Jeddah will remain open from 6.30am to 2.30pm until June 20.
The company said in a bourse statement that the decision falls in line with the latest government regulation that re-imposed strict measures against COVID-19 in Jeddah for 15 days from June 6-20, in response to an evaluation of the health situation in the city by relevant authorities.
Meanwhile during that period, food and beverage outlets will revert to offering delivery and takeout services only, while fashion and electronics brands will continue to operate in accordance with the government’s public health and safety guidelines.
Comprehensive health and safety measures will continue to be implemented, including allowing a limited number of customers, mandatory use of personal protective equipment by all personnel at all times.
Other regulations include the closure of fitting rooms and encouraging contactless payments, the statement said.
The company is ascertaining the financial impact of the updated measures and will disclose any developments in due course.
On May 31, Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair & Co. announced the reopening of all stores across the Kingdom except for Makkah from 9am until 7pm, Argaam reported.
