Saudi Customs to disclose date of fees hike implementation in timely manner

The General Customs Authority said that the fees hike implementation is yet to be put into effect.

 

It added on its Twitter account that the date and targeted commodities will be announced in a timely manner.

 

Raising custom duties of some commodities was expected to begin in Saudi Arabia on June 10, according to data available to Argaam.

 

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, has previously announced that the decision aims to boost domestic industries and better position local products to compete with imports.
