The number of investment funds rose to 636 in Q1 2020, from 607 in Q4 2019, including 253 public funds and 383 private funds, according to a report issued by the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

The investment funds include a group of securities that are selected based on specific criteria that achieve the fund's investment objectives. It is divided into public and private funds.
