Ministry of Energy to support NEOM, fulfill project’s needs

Saudi Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, said that the ministry will use its capabilities to support NEOM Co. in all energy-related fields, including the projects planned to take advantage of the solar and wind energy mix.

The move aims to make NEOM one of the world’s top regions that depends on sustainable energy to fulfill its energy needs, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

“We support cooperation with the NEOM Co. and aim to make this cooperation a key to the success of the NEOM project and realization of its goals, which are an integral part of the comprehensive national development,” the minister said.

The statement came during the launch of a joint workshop between the Systematic Energy and NEOM in presence of the company’s CEO, Nadhmi Al-Nasr. The workshop was organized to develop a road map for cooperation between the two sides.

The workshop will discuss various aspects of cooperation between Systematic Energy and NEOM.
