Saudi Arabia records 1,342 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia increased by 1,342 to 281,435 on Tuesday, August 4, the Ministry of Health announced today.

 

Recoveries reached 1,635, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 243,688, representing 86% of total registered cases.

 

Thirty-five new death cases were reported, while the death toll hit 2,984.

 

The total active cases currently receiving treatment amounted to 34,763 cases, of which 1,983 are critical.

 

In addition, a total of 97 cases were reported in Riyadh, Makkah (56), Madinah and Hafr Al Batin (53), and Dammam (51).

 

A total of 54,325 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests to 3.53 million.
