Saudi Arabia records 1,521 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,521 new COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 11 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 291,468, the Ministry of Health said.

 

Recoveries reached 1,640, raising the total number of recovered cases to 255,118 (87% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 34 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 3,233.

 

Active cases totaled 33,117, of which 1,821 cases are critical.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 101, followed by Makkah (88), Dammam (75), Hufuf and Madinah (65), and Jazan (51 each).

 

The Kingdom conducted 60,828 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 3.93 million.
