King Salman orders setting up committee to oversee national anti-commercial concealment program

17/08/2020 ِArgaam

Saudi Arabia's King Salman issued directives on setting up a ministerial committee to oversee the national anti-commercial concealment (Tasattur) program.

The committee will develop solutions and initiatives to combat commercial concealment.

It will also develop indicators to assess the performance of all competent authorities.

The Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) will build indicators to detect and regularly update the cases of suspected commercial concealment.

The Ministry of Commerce and Investment, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) and any other entity defined by the committee are required to provide SDAIA with the necessary data to measure commercial concealment cases on a quarterly basis.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs is also required to develop a plan that orders all groceries to abide by the updated regulations for groceries activities.

An indicator will be prepared to measure compliance with these regulations and report it to the Council of Economic and Development Affairs within 60 days.
