Saudi Arabia records 816 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 816 new COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 2 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 317,486, the Ministry of Health said.

 

Recoveries reached 996, raising the total number of recovered cases to 292,510 (92% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 27 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 3,956.

 

Active cases totaled 21,020, of which 1,532 cases are critical.

 

Madinah and Hail reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 45 each, followed by Riyadh (44), Jeddah (43), and Dammam (41).

 

The Kingdom conducted 49,989 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 5.16 million.
