The number of new licenses granted to factories in August, according to the National Classification of Economic Activities in Saudi Arabia, reached 71 with a total capital of SAR 1.6 billion, a recent report by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources revealed.
The total number of existing and under-construction factories hit 9,357 across the Kingdom, compared to 9,284 in July 2020.
According to the ministry data, the number of Saudi workers in the industrial sector rose by 542 in August, while the number of expat workers declined by 565.
