Nama Chemicals Co. suspends today, Sept. 14, operations at its chlor-alkaline (SODA) plant for a 20-day regular maintenance, it said in a bourse statement on Monday.
The plant is expected to resume operations on Oct. 4, 2020.
The suspension comes as part of the company’s annual periodical maintenance plan.
Nama added that the necessary measures were taken to mitigate the impact of this temporary suspension on its clients, building up a sufficient inventory to meet the company’s obligations.
The temporary suspension is likely to have a limited impact of SAR 1.8 million on the maintenance budget, Nama noted, adding that any material developments will be disclosed later on.
