The Red Sea Development Co. (TRSDC) announced the completion of construction works for the first kilometre of the road network at the Red Sea Project.

“The road is currently open, as the entrance of the main site is connected to the central region, which includes the workers residence, offices and the landscape nursery,” the company said on its official Twitter account.

Also, excavation works and land enablement were completed in partnership with Saudi Arabian Real Estate Infrastructure Co. (Binyah) to ensure readiness of the road.

In November, Binyah secured a contract from TRSDC for the construction of transportation links for the coastal and interior areas at the Red Sea Project, a tourism destination being developed in Saudi Arabia, Argaam reported.

Under the contract, Binyah will design and construct 77 kilometers (km) of roads, including a 10 km highway, a 13 km airport access road along with interconnecting roads within the destination and an access road to the bridge linking the main hub island.
