Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO) said in a bourse filing that Riyadh’s Administrative Court of Appeal rejected on Oct. 1, 2020, the company’s appeal against the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).
The verdict was issued in the presence of the two parties during the session, the telecom operator added.
It further clarified that it is difficult to estimate the relevant financial impact at present.
In August 2018, the company filed a lawsuit before Riyadh’s administrative court to cancel CITC’s decision whereby it rejected GO’s request to obtain the unified telecom license.
In October 2019, the administrative court rejected GO’s claim, and both parties were granted 30 days to appeal.
