Madinah Governor inaugurates SAR 3 bln development projects in Yanbu

rince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah Region inaugurated a package of development and service projects and laid the foundation stone for others in Yanbu Governorate and the Royal Commission for Yanbu, at a cost of more than SAR 3 billion.

 

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the inauguration projects included laying the foundation stone for the electrical power distribution stations project for the petrochemical industries expansion area, the logistical area and the second residential area of the Royal Commission, the main road project and the infrastructure of the petrochemical industries expansion zone.

 

Prince Faisal also launched a water pumping station, the transmission line from Yanbu to Khef Hussain, and the strategic reservoir rehabilitation project.

 

Additionally, the inauguration included the construction project of the central Yanbu power station and the project of lines and feeders establishment for energy transmission and linking it to the super-voltage network, in order to enhance and raise the province's internal network reliability.

 

The Governor of Madinah Region opened a number of projects in Yanbu Commercial Port, including the first phase of the passenger terminal development, and the road to connect the passenger terminal with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road.

 

Prince Faisal laid the foundation stone for the port security system project, in addition to the establishment of an additional waiting hall for pilgrims.

 

Prince Faisal stressed the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors, aiming to complete Madinah's development plan as scheduled.
