Ministry of Industry licenses 531 new factories worth SAR 8.8 bln in first 8 months of 2020

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced that 531 new factories were issued licenses, starting from the beginning of 2020 till end of August.

 

The total volume of investments for the new licenses exceeded SAR 8.8 billion, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, quoting Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, official spokesman of the ministry.

 

According to the data compiled by Argaam, the ministry earlier announced in September that 71 new factories were issued licenses in August with a total capital of SAR 1.6 billion, bringing the total number of existing and under-construction factories to 9,357.
