Saudi govt plans to localize supplies jobs, employ 17,000 citizens by 2021-end

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development plans to qualify the competitors for the project to localize the supplies jobs, as part of the Kingdom’s National Transformation Program.

The ministry aims to employ 17,000 citizens at the supplies entities (supermarkets and hypermarkets) by the end of 2021.

The number of supermarket employees stands at nearly 105,000 (37,000 Saudis), with a Saudization rate of 35%.

Meanwhile, the number of hypermarket employees is around 48,000 (16,000 of whom are Saudis), with a Saudization rate of 35%.

The competing companies will review the work methodology, develop the project’s operational plan, as well as the proposed implementation scenarios.
