Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy has several programs in the pipeline to diversify the use of oil and gas with the aim of introducing new industries, Al Ekhbariya TV reported, citing Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud.
“These programs cover a mix of renewable energy and gas, energy-efficient tools, in addition to the oil demand sustainability program that seeks to increase economic and environmental efficiency of oil and gas,” Prince Abdulaziz said, adding that these new options are aimed to introduce new products.
He further emphasized that these programs came in line with the Kingdom’s strategy to diversify revenues away from oil.
