Jazan Energy and Development Co. (JAZADCO) obtained the Saudi Good Agricultural Practices (S.G.A.P) certificate, the company said in a bourse statement.
The certification was received today, Oct. 21, by the company’s chief executive, Bedor N. Al-Rashoudi, from the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Abdulrahman Al-Fadli.
The CEO highlighted the company's keenness to apply the best modern means and technologies in agricultural practices and improve operations to support sustainable production and environment safety, in addition to focusing on increasing agricultural production and opening various marketing outlets.
Al-Rashoudi also indicated that JAZADCO is about to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) to start applying the best agricultural practices in greenhouses in pursuit of the company's farms becoming one of the most important economic tributaries and promoting modern agricultural practices.
