COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions contributed to the increase in the number of patients and occupancy rates during the third quarter of 2020, Nasser Al Huqbani, CEO of Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group (HMG) told CNBC Arabia TV.
He added that some rescheduled works were completed after the pandemic restrictions eased in the third quarter, indicating that all of the group’s segments witnessed growth in Q3 2020.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the group focused on shifting large part of its business and adapting to the new changes to suit the patients. The changes include remote communication, reception in clinics, an increase in home visits and activation of "Al Habib Life Care" service.
The medical service provider reported a 50.9% rise year-on-year (YoY) in Q3 2020 net profit to SAR 298.8 million, according to data compiled by Argaam.
